I have a standard wagon tongue bat with Joss stenciled on the barrel. The only player with the last name Joss is Addie Joss. Joss was a pitcher and is certainly from the wagon tongue bat era. Questions is were turn of the century bats often endorsed this way or is the stencil something else?

Very interesting bat. Wasn't there also at least one other player named Joss in the minor leagues?
I have seen a few of these, but none with the stencil on it. |

There was also a George Josslyn who played 1903-1906. |
