I saw this video and was amazed at being able to see New York city while t206 and other vintage cards were just being released. I was keeping any eye out for tobacco users wondering if they happened to have had any cards in their pockets. At 3:08 a Tip Top Bread truck drives past! https://youtu.be/hZ1OgQL9_Cw?t=188 United Cigars at 1:29 https://youtu.be/hZ1OgQL9_Cw?t=109 Not sure if this violates any rules (please delete, no worries) but thought other collectors may be interested in the era.

Amazing.
But isn't it so bizarre to think that every single person in the video is long dead at this point? All we are is dust in the wind. Would make a great song. |

BTW, as the Tip Top truck passes through, that is the Flatiron Building in the background. One of most historic architectural landmarks in NYC. On a triangular corner, constructed with Carnegie steel and to this day very functional.

Thanks for posting this. Very cool! I noticed a few men with missing legs. Given their ages, probable Civil War vets. For sure, so many pictured at least had contact with a fresh new T206 that same day!

Good eye picking out the truck and the Flat Iron. I always thought that that was such an incredible building!
Anther thing that I noticed is right at the 1:50 mark - there is a clear view of a cigar shop right there (!) that any one of these guys could be going into and buying a pack of Piedmonts or Sweet Caps. Imagine! Chris |

Very cool video. What struck me is that it’s really not all that different 100 years later. Sure, today there different clothes, neon signs and billboards, more cars, social diversity, but all-in-all I get the sense the feel along the streets were very similar to today.
