For Sale: 1972 NLCS Game Used Ball Clemente
FS: Original GU ball from one of the most famous series in Reds history as well as the last series of games the great Roberto Clemente would play in. Ball was given to a friend of the crew chief ump Augie Donatelli by Donatelli as a gift for helping him rub up balls. In the research I did, Donatelli worked home plate for game 5 of the series. Which was also the last game of the series and Clemente's final game. So, it's entirely possible the ball came from that game. It is also signed and inscribed by Donatelli (light but still ledgible) along with a few of the Reds players at the time and comes with a letter from Sports Investments in Cincinnati.
