T207 lowdermilk with red cross back
i am doing some t207 research, in part regarding Red Cross backs, and have a question about the Louis Lowdermilk card. online searches show REA sold the same example three times (for $21,150 in 2011, $16,590 in 2013 and $13,035 in 2014). a longtime tobacco collector told me that there is more than one Lowdermilk/Red Cross example, but I have not been able to find evidence.
i wonder if he mistook the one example in REA for multiple examples, which is understadable, because it makes little sense why a buyer would resell such a card so quickly (at a significant loss no less!). so maybe he mistakenly remembered these as being different cards. so my question is is anyone aware of another example of the t207 Lowdermilk with a Red Cross back?
