Sorry for being a newb, but we finally pulled our collection out of the closet after 30 years (before the internet) and it seems times have changed.
Can someone give me advice on what is the best way to get these cards to grade/verify these two cards specifically? 1957 Mantle, personally signed 1966 Mantle, personally signed ..or in general for a collection from 1950's to 1980's. -Thanks Last edited by LukeSkyMiami; 04-26-2017 at 06:42 PM. |

Use PSA's dual authentication service to grade the card and authenticate and grade the autograph. Cards are awesome!
As to the rest of the collection, post some of them up and we'll give you good advice. Here's a similar thread that may help you: http://www.net54baseball.com/showthr...hlight=caprice

Good cards; read through that thread I posted and pay attention to which cards are worth grading and which are worth selling raw individually, and which to sell in lots.
My rule of thumb (with intent to sell) is to grade cards that will gain $20 by grading at the expected grade or lower, or ones that need to be authenticated to sell more easily. As in, any Mantle is probably worth getting graded just so you can sell it online without people thinking it's fake. Cards worth $20 or more are probably worth selling directly on eBay, while cards between $1-20 may be best sold on COMC where they do the work for you for a modest fee. Cards that are worth less than a buck I normally donate to charity or sell in bulk. I just donated 2 tubs of cards to my church rummage sale.
