Default FS-Joe Dimaggio 1941 GPC

Neat 1941 joe d piece from the year of his 56 game hitting streak. Scrap book residue is obstructing the month and date, and could likely be removed, but I'm going to leave that up to the buyer... Great piece from an historical season...

What a great piece at a great price...as per usual with Dave. That is my favorite version of DiMaggio's signature.

If it turns out to have been signed during the streak...the buyer got an insane buy.

Congrats!

Hey Tom,

I plan on trying to get the residue off the back to find the actual date. I'll keep you posted.

Tremendous! Be careful though. That is right where the salutation is.

Default Residue

You're going to dig it James!

The date is what peaked my curiosity, but man I don't have the intestinal fortitude to attempt peeling it off.

Can you heat the adhesive up enough with a hairdryer to get a gentle removal?

Good news is...I was able to remove a good portion of the black adhesive without damaging the salutation on the reverse side.

Bad news is...Its not dated!!!

Very nice piece and extremely happy with the price Dave gave me. One thing I'll say about Dave, his taste is impeccable and he always puts together great items.

Could the date be torn and be visible under a black light or something? I wish you good luck. That's a great piece either way
