Toyman55 just posted a jpeg of a very nice Ted Williams autograph. I have several nearly identical including Perez Steele, a couple of baseballs and a metal HOF plak. What strikes me is the almost feminine (?) look of the autograph - fine and free flowing. To me, it seems to race across the page. Then I compare it to other genuine autos (generally photos) that apprear bloated and slow. I'm sure the writing instrument (maybe a worn sharpie) has something to do with it but these other autos seem to lack the crispness of the auto toyman55 displayed. Am I seeing correctly? Does Williams' auto in later years look more rote than caring, perhaps reflecting his attitude towards collectors? Just curious. Thank you.

Probably a big difference in signing 10 signatures a day for kids at a ballpark when you're 30 than signing 1000 sigs a day in a windowless room for profit when you're 70.
