Vintage wool baseball jersey and pants

I just acquired this vintage baseball uniform. Based on the photo's provided would anybody be able to tell me about the year and team this was issued to?

Could it be the University of Michigan?

Any help would really be appreciated. Dennis

The tag on the jersey is from Burghardt Sporting Goods in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They have been around since 1881.
Maybe its from a local team in Milwaukee.

I agree, unless there is some image that would show the connection to Michigan, which would take a little research...
