Hi, I'm Scott Gross, and I post once in a while on the vintage card side. I have a few of my father's 1950's program, and I was wondering if they had any value.
1956 Baseball Fans' Guide // Aug. 7 1956 Program (vs. Cleve.) with ticket: dad1.jpg 1956 Boston Program (vs. NY) // 1951 Yankee Program (vs. Det., with Mantle leading off, wearing #6) dad2.jpg A 2nd 1951 Yankee Program (vs. Bos., with Mantle not starting wearing #7, not scanned). This program also has a 4 page supliment, as shown: dad3.jpg dad4.jpg I check some ebay listings, but prices were all over the place. I know we're not talking about finding one of those Wagner cards ![]() ![]() Thanks, and everyone have a great holiday weekend !!! |

Yes, they do have some value. I would guess in the $75-100 range for the group, unless one of the programs would be a significant baseball date, historically(Mantle's first game, etc). The writing on the Red Sox program would hurt it somewhat, while the addition of a ticket stub on the '56 program might ad some value to it. I think the insert would certainly help. Probably not much value to the Kessler book. Condition looks a little rough, overall, for the group.

Neither here nor there but on 8-7-56 Ted Williams was walked with the bases loaded in the 11th to win it for the Sox 1-0.
