Was looking through an old 1960 Little World Series (American Legion) programs last night and noticed that three of the eight teams in the series had players go on to major league careers.

Mark Belanger

Rusty Staub

Dave McNally

I think that's pretty amazing to have that many future major leaguers in one American Legion tournament...there are possibly more guys that made the majors in this program, but those three names jumped out at me right away of course.

Thanks for posting this. Great stuff. Rusty Staub looks like he is already about 30 in the photo. Do you think the other Staub listed on his team (a Co Capt.) in the front row is a relative?
