Howard: There have been a few threads from time to time showcasing people's home displays. Unfortunately the search function doesn't laser in on all of them. I tried searches for "man cave" and "memorabilia room" and came up with a few. You'll need to be a bit creative to see what you can find; you'll probably stumble across a ton of interesting threads while you're looking. Getting there is half the fun.
http://tinyurl.com/2wn7w3s http://tinyurl.com/2868pc2 http://tinyurl.com/26m99zt http://tinyurl.com/2d8ta9o http://tinyurl.com/2aym9c7 Some of the threads are two or three years old so some of the picture links will have expired. I recall there being other threads - probably are plenty more - but you'll have to dig away. Maybe some of the other guys might come along and post photos of their awesome manly man caves in the mean time. |

Howard, one thing to remember when you do put together your room...there is no right or wrong, just what pleases you. My room is still coming together with several things waiting to go to the framers. I will say though that the first link that David has there is one for Mike H. when he was re-doing his room and it inspired me quite a bit. I had never thought to do green walls before and I kept thinking about it for several months until we starting remodeling and I thought it was a great time to try it...and I'm very happy I did. Here's a couple of pictures of what I have so far.

Mike -- that's a terrific room, the displays are very well done and I really like the color coordination. It's also nice to see the 7-11 cups -- I still have dozens from my childhood and I think they've always been under-appreciated.
What's going to go on the empty lighted wall above the cups? Greg http://www.baseballbasement.com |

Ever since I have become a member of this forum I have been amazed at all the things that I have seen on here especially the Memorabila rooms. I will never have some of the things that I have seen, but I have finally finished my room for now. I have also finshed a website to display it all. I hope over the rest of my life I can to continue to add to it. Here is a link to the office pictures on my website and the link to the website where you can go to get close up's and descriptions of my collection. Once again thanks to all on this forum for your ideas.

I bought it.
Better story: I was talking about the Dallas-Denver Super Bowl (1978) with a buddy of mine, and he told me he caught a football during the game. It turned out to be true - he was actually at the Super Bowl, sitting in the end zone, and caught an extra point. You can't one-up a story like that.

Finally starting the new room after seemingly endless delays and setbacks. Here is a glimpse of initial progress, with Brooklyn Pennants and some game-used Jackets below.
Also came into a perfect Display Table for my Watcher's early Pinball Game. Not sure why the site randomly rotates some of the photos, and not others. ![]() But hopefully, you can twist/tilt as necessary! |

I love the 19th century collection! My family lives in an apartment, so there isn't a lot of space. My wife has a double sided display cabinet, and she has allowed me one side, the non-window side.

Great displays! Those boxes of cards bring back great memories of my childhood. Reminds me that if I had a quarter, I could buy 5 packs of cards. However, there was a penny tax if you spent 25 cents, so I would buy four packs, get a nickel in change, then buy a single pack. My first lesson in taxes at age 7.
