And yes, the card is in fact on it's way to GAI as they are re-opening tomorrow.

Also I probably wouldn't of opted to have a Bancroft Rookie Card (and if I did I may have went with the m101-5 as his rookie - which is more in line with the true definition of rookie card), but since he played for Portland (as identified in the Zeenut), and I grew up in Oregon, I HAD to have that Zeenut card. So that is another circle to be added to MY Venn Diagram of HOF rookie card collecting.

In fact that is a reason (played in Portland) that in some point in the future I may add a Thorpe Zeenut - even though he is not in the MLB HOF.

I actually heard a very convincing argument put forth on campus back during my college days that the 1950 Bowman Roy Campanella was actually Jackie Robinson's true rookie card.
Fascinating stuff...requires some amazing assumptions, though.
I'll see if I can find my notes on it.
