I used to buy all the soda and beer bottles I could find for a nickel each and then drive them to Michigan and sell them for a dime, but I couldn't keep my overhead low enough. |

Isn't it amazing how many Seinfeld references made it into this thread? However, nobody mentioned a rickshaw business in Manhattan, one Newman insists can't miss (to which Jerry responds: "Oh, it CAN miss!") |

I've really enjoyed everyone's responses to the original question in this thread. But, in all seriousness, to answer Sean's question, there was an earlier thread in which many people explained what they did for a living. I am horrible at searching for earlier threads, but perhaps Sean or someone else can find it. |

I think "Curb" is every bit as funny as Seinfeld, and gets away with a lot more because it's on HBO. "The Doll", "The Wire", and "The Car Salesman" are among the funniest episodes ever on television, and there are many others just as good. |

are.......the Jesus Nail........the Kamikaze wheelchair dude........and the one where Larry gets a hair stuck in his throat. It took about 2 seasons for me to REALLY get into it but I think it's just as funny as Seinfeld. The other situation is pretty funny is Larry's Dog is a racist....oh yeah, and getting the prostitue in the car so he could hop the HOV lane..... |

"Curb" is my all time favorite show! much better than seinfeld, IMO. i've seen every episode. there are so many funny episodes, some of my favorites: when Larry figures out that the HBO producer steals some shrimp from his Lo Mein; when he visits his father and finds out that his mother died and they didn't tell him; when he calls out the weather man for making false reports so he can play golf; any episode where Wonda yells at him; any episode when Jeff Greene's wife yells at him...on and on. so funny. |

Yes, Susie Essman is a riot. And it's Kung Po (sp) shrimp, to be perfectly accurate. Also "Beloved Aunt", where there is a typographical error in the obituary, is another classic. |

I sure hope you realize how lucky you are. To run your own auction house and still have time to tell Seinfeld jokes during the day. It's a dream job, they're lots of Net54 members that wish that they were in your shoes. |

Since I switched from telephone auctions to online bidding, there is very little to do. The phone never rings anymore. I just check the auction several times a day to see what bids have come in. At least Net54 keeps me busy (and I am currently reading the O'Keeffe book). |
