New theory regarding the T206 brown LENOX cards....show us some of these rare dudes

If you collect tough backs long enough you will realize there are subjects that are tougher in each brand. The rarer the back the harder this is to see.

Example Red Hindu Murphy is much tougher than Red Hindu Ford.

Same with black Lenox, M. Brown, Cobb and Konetchey are much tougher than Ames or some of the Giant portraits with sweater which show up much more with black Lenox.

As for Cairo and brown Lenox, these are two completely different ink colors

Hi Jim. On a related note, the Merkle portrait/ Old Mill has been really difficult for me. I've been searching for one for a couple years.

I used to collect T206's when I was younger. I never considered myself a serious collector because I never had too much cash......and still don't.

Long story short........I used to cut out items of interest from the SCD and used that information when I was buying T206's at local card shows.

This is an ad that may be of interest to you. It is for a Brown Lenox reverse of Doyle which is not on your list. All I can tell you is that this is from the SCD, and if I can read my scratch handwriting on the side, it is from the issue dated 4/15/94. If you were to obtain a copy of the magazine, you would be able to find out who placed the ad and maybe get confirmation of another Brown Lenox. I know the chances are very slim...........but who knows?
