For me it's the 59 Topps as my least favorite. I'd have to give a big thumbs up to the 56 Topps. Loaded with stars and Hall of Famers. I can't get why it doesn't have a Stan Musial? idk

Stan wouldn't accept the standard fee for use of his image. Unfortunate because he didn't have a regular issue Topps card until 1959.

The only set that both Ted Williams and Stan Musial are in together is 1949 Leaf (58 Topps all star aside).

Very cool Don 👍. That leaf set is a real beauty, gotta be at the top for one of the best post-war sets. Loaded with Hall Of Famers, rookies, and super hard short prints.

Yeah that leaf set is a landmark set. I hate the skip number format though.

Did he say why? It's certainly odd that he has a regular card in only 3 50s Topps/Bowman sets (none of which are particularly expensive).
