Tigers ST
Here are a few of the Tigers at ST in Lakeland, circa 1941. These were given to me by a friend who inherited them in a scrapbook. His older cousin was the chief bellhop at a hotel in Lakeland and had a couple of pages of ballplayer photos.

Probably one of my favorite and best hauls! I got this from a guy's who's mother went to baseball games and took pictures of her favorite players. Then the next day she would get the film developed to have the picture signed by the player for the next time they were in town. Here's some of the pictures I got. She lived in Pitt,PA.
Jackie Robinson signed on Aug 3, 1949 turns out it's fainted autograph, really nice pen indentation. Jackie went 1/5 that game.:    Duke Snider Aug 3, 1949 Again, great indentation on photo hard to see with hardly any ink. Says, "Best wishes" in the corner. Snider went 5/5 with 5 RBIs and a HR.:   Robin Roberts- Looks like he signed it once and didn't work so he signed it again, did a better job.   Richie Ashburn-Not signed, but still a cool picture.  Robin Roberts-Sept 1951 signed nicely.

Great stuff guys! The snapshots really give you a feel for the humanity of the players that isn't always there in the more professional shots.
Marshall Goldberg at a 1939 NFL All Star game:  A couple of shots of Joe Louis in the Army during WWII:   1935 snaps of Joe Louis at his training camp for the Max Baer bout:    1937 Louis training for the title fight with Braddock:  Gene Tunney training:

I thought I played on some terrible infields but that has got to be the worst. I have even more respect for these players from days gone by who had a high fielding percentage.

My newest HOF snapshot. Henry Aaron! I probably overpaid on this one, but I love the fact that this was a sweet Aaron photo,it was against my favorite team(Cubs), and Hammer' Hank hit a HR that game!

Same seller who I got the photos from. He had two, one that signed and one that was not signed. I couldn't afford the signed one.
