I respectfully disagree.
I do not care about the monetary value of any item in my collection now, and if I care in 50 years, well, "50 years from now me" will just have to put up with how "current me" displayed stuff. As an example, my 1957 Topps baseball partial sheet is on the wall in my den, in a standard frame that I bought at a regular store. If it's losing value the longer it hangs on my wall, so be it. But it makes me smile every time I walk past it. Doug |
