My family doctor here in Seattle says his family has a Philadelphia wedding program signed by Ty Cobb. As the story goes, the bride was the doctor's aunt, Cobb happened to be at the hotel where the wedding took place and danced a dance with the bride.
I've never seem the item, but he's been my doctor, and a good one, for 15 years and I have no reason to believe he made up the story. He is a genuine story teller and talker-- he has stories and funny recollections for me every time I see him. He's told me about the Cobb autograph several times over the years.
