I used to calibrate and fine tune my radar equipment by targeting Mt Katahdin, 70 miles due North of our base in Bangor. When the radar screen displayed the echo from that 5268 ft. high mountain, I knew the radar was performing at its peak. I had some really great times in Northern Maine.
