I think "rare" is somewhat relative and in this case I believe the 38s are tougher to find than the 34s. 34s are also easier and much more plentiful on ebay in .99 auction format than the 38s. All the 38s will pop up eventually but its also a 48 and in your case much smaller "set" than the 96 in 34. I believe the 38s with cartoons/drawings next to them tend to be a tad tougher as well.
