Return policies generally apply if the item is not as described. Mine do anyways.
They're not supposed to be used as loan programs to see if you can flip it for more in the allotted time span, and return it if you can't.  This isn't Home Depot, where you can give it a test run, and then return the wood when you discover you don't have the right skill-saw to build your bookcase.
