Mark ... A's pennants are fantastic! I think you also have the one from the WS with the Giant and CM shaking hands?
I've posted my pictures before but the collection is always in flux .... here is part of my way-too-crowded basement. Last edited by thetahat; 01-17-2012 at 10:45 AM. |

Fantastic Greg... really spectaacular! A couple of questions...
The Indians Pennant (mid height, and over towards the right): Never seen that one before. Can you post a closer shot of it? Also... is that an Athletics pennant (far right at top?) It is cut off, but I clearly see an Elephant. Not sure what else it could be, and it appears to be a rare one! Please post that one too (if not too much trouble). Thanks... amazing collection, and perhaps the best wall of pennants extant! Mark ps. Yes- the WS Pennant with the Quaker and the Giant shaking hands is mine too. Maybe I should move that one to the A's room and fill that hole in the other room. Think I will, now that you've mentioned it ![]() |

I need to take some better photos of the memorabilia but in the meantime how about a hallway? We had the stained glass commissioned after someone showed us a similar design of stained glass from Johnny Kling's hotel in KC

Guys............Ok, I've been holding out on listing some photos of my 'stuff', but have really enjoyed seeing everyone's rooms. Having two youngsters at home that are 'on the move', I had to kid proof a lot of my stuff on display and lock the glass showcases in a basement bedroom for now. Kids with old bats (or anything swingable) and glass scare me to death!! I'm also into collecting some Americana/advertising signs which are pretty much kid proof. So, here's a few photos.....sorry, I left out the ones with the kids' toys.

Outstanding displays and collection Matt!!! The advertising is a perfect accompaniment to your memorabilia. Those are some amazing cases as well. Thank you for sharing.

Max, Really nice stained glass window...looks great! Say..that blue Spalding Bats sign at upper right....Can you post a photo of that? Is that a Canadian sign?...I don't think I've ever seen it before

Thanks Carlton. You have a keen eye; it is indeed a Canadian sign (Hartnett, if i recall correctly) Unfortunately, a previous owner neatly trimmed the edges. I have seen one other, in which the AH advised their copy was the only one extant.
As for a better image, it will take a bit. The piece is on the second floor and at present, I am landlocked on the first floor in post-surgery from a torn quadricep, courtesy of a car door into my bike last week. Max
