Jeter has always been a class act and by all accounts a great teammate. He is a surefire, first-ballot HOFer and I'm glad I was watching when he got #3000
I was surprised to hear that of the 28 players to hit 3000 he is only the 2nd to do it with a HR and Wade Boggs is the other. Two guys not known as HR hitters. Gotta love the oddities of baseball! Last edited by peterose4hof; 07-09-2011 at 12:26 PM.
