I wonder how Legendary was able to identify the undeveloped cards. The cards are blank backed and the player and # only appear when developed. I would like to see what the rest of the lot looks like since they only show 9 of the 43 cards. The ones they do show have very strong photos for the issue, but my guess is they are still 1-2's. SGC has graded a total of 17 cards and I have about 30 waiting to be submitted to them. In my opinion, The self developing photographic issues of the 30's are one of the under rated scarcities in the hobby.

Have posted this before, but it shows how clear the image can be if developed properly.

I am not familiar with these cards, so from a curiosity standpoint, how were these cards developed?

I have 4 so far (Mack PSA 2, Dykes SGC 10, Pytlak raw, and Mahaffey raw).
IIRC both of my grades ones came through this board, and the Mahaffey came either from here or CU's board. Pytlak was an ebay purchase. They're very tough - so much so that I sometimes forget to search for them for a while, because no new ones were posted. [OK, that plus I found a new oddball set from that era to go after heavily.] Some of the ones you got in that lot look incredible. Nice job. |

Thanks for posting the scans. That is very interesting! Out of curiosity, I picked up an R308 on Ebay over the weekend. I expectorate to see it in the mail shortly!

I believe these were the inspiration for Topps Magic Photos. That Legendary lot is outstanding by the way.
