I know others that have safes in their basements (where their is somtimes moisture) and they do use silica to combat moisture. Is your safe in a room with high moisture, like a basement? You could also try putting them in ziploc bags (which some do for safe deposit boxes) or, depending on how big your safe is, a plastic container that's airtight.

I had this same problem. Never solved it. Anything paper-like would always seem to be holding moisture. I never even put my cards in there. It has basically become a bookshelf because it sits there with the door always open. My wife says it will be my coffin so we can get some real use out of it.

It is in my closet (where I keep them in the box normally). I may try some beaters in there with the Silica packs to see if it does any good. Good news- the wife has a lot of shoes, so we have a lot of Silica packs
![]() I was actually considering a bigger safe so I could put them in an airtigt container, but may reconsider based on the packs. Thanks for the replies |
