The reason has to do with competition to get the best PSA set registry. Something that tends to be lacking from other highly reputable (read SGC/BVG) third party graders. It's that competition that drives PSA prices up.
Additional comment: Don't let this explanation detract from the fact that an SGC 96 carew RC is one heck of a fine card ![]() |
