It's ok, I still kinda secretly like Ace of Bass and Wilson Phillips. Granted, It's more of a jokingly reminiscent thing, but I guess you could still say I like 'em. I think ridiculously bad, pop songs are everyone's guilty pleasure.

"99 Problems" - Jay Z
Anything hip-hop in the late 80's - Bel Biv Devoe, Biz Markie, Digitial Underground, Public Enemy I hate most new country but "Pretty Good at Drinkin' Beer" by Billy Currington is one that strikes a chord with me. |

Well, probably nothing is out of the norm for me since I enjoy anything that pleases me and that encompasses a LOT of genres.
Here is one song that I used to play very loudly when I was in high school that was disturbing to my mother. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MwQos9L7j8

This song has somehow permanently engraved itself into my subconscious and I find myself singing it, out of the blue, every few years.

Apache is a jazz instrumental by Jørgen Ingmann....in his 1961 album "Jørgen Ingmann and His Guitar".
Poinciana is a classic by jazz pianist Ahmad Jamal. First recorded live at the Pershing Hotel in Chicago in 1958. You don't have to follow jazz to appreciate this music. Not off the "beaten track", but still going strong after 50+ years....Dave Brubeck's "Take Five". TED Z Last edited by tedzan; 02-12-2011 at 08:28 AM. |

Here goes... the Mary Poppins soundtrack. Pretty much the whole thing. At least when they were young, my daughters loved singing along with me and Julie. ![]() Not done yet. 25 years later came "The Little Mermaid" ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() P.S. Although Mary Poppins has tremendous sentimental reasons why I enjoy it so (the first movie my Mom ever took me to and she even re-upped to watch it back to back. Better memories no other six year old could have. Sure do miss her.) ![]() ![]() |
