Picked up this sharp looking Waddell portrait from fellow member Ron Rice. What a BLAZER! Sharp colour! Well centred! Super nice for the grade! An A+ transaction, thanks Ron!

Actually a very late January addition, but never got around to posting it. A huge thank you to Scott Brockelman for noticing this one was
on my 2011 want list and contacted me shortly thereafter. Very much appreciated....

Thanks, guys.

The carton now contains one pack. According to the previous owner, it once contained 40-some full packs. She had acquired it/them at a country store auction in Gettysburg, PA in 2006 or 2007, but has been selling the packs off one by one since. I'm sure some board members have picked some of them up.

The pack's tax stamp was cancelled in July 1905, and both the pack and the carton are marked as coming from Factory 25 in Virginia. Slightly pre-T card era, but pretty darn close.

New pickups ... cards I never thought I'd find!

Burkett was from Clean Sweep. I just received it, less than 24 business hours after I mailed the check!

Evers & Terry are from davidbvintage (another great ebay seller)

Dan:

Very nice Terry Rookie, Dan. I like the Burkett a lot too, not many career contemporary cards for him.

Here are three items I picked up recently. The first is a postcard from 1934 showing Babe Ruth among others who barnstormed around Japan for awhile. The second is my first and only T206, Hooks Wiltse pitching. The third is a photograph that was personally owned by Cy Young, and it is stamped on the back with his signature, which was his habit with many of his photographs. He is shown in his later years alongside Ruth and Jane Benedum.

Default Top left corner of Bastian

I think that 'divit' that goes through to the back of the card will cost a full grade; I'd say 3.5-4
