And here's a few more, including PCL great Tony Freitas (pictured with the Reds in '37 at Crosley Field), Johnny Mize, Lon Warnecke, Howie Pollet and Gabby Hartnett ...

I concur with Graig, Max. Easily one of the finest snapshots I've ever seen.

A rather unusual snapshot of Rapid Robert in all of his glory....
Not mine, but I thought I would share with the board ![]() |

My understanding is that the photo is from the late 30's- early 1940's and that it belonged to an lady fan from that era. She got it signed much later by Mr. Feller in sharpie. It now is owned by a collector friend of mine that purchased it over 20years ago. It had to have made Feller blush and wonder why the hell he ever posed for that one... You've got to wonder what the heck ever happened to create that photo shoot-yikes! ![]() Last edited by Scott Garner; 02-03-2011 at 03:46 AM. |

Of course Bob had to sign it, along with everything else ... that's hilarious!

Was there anything Feller wouldn't sign? Crack pipe? Hustler centerfold? Fake currency?
