And a couple from 1940. I'm glad McKechnie got into the Hall... And Hershberger's life certainly came to a tragic end.

This guy played for the 1940 Reds. He wrote a book that I thought was worth reading. Here are a couple of Goudey cards, and a couple of cards he sent me when we corresponded.

Jim Turner... what a connection he was with Casey Stengel, and eventually the Yankees. One really nice guy, and a great baseball man, Milkman Jim.
He was 14-7 for the 1940 Reds, he hit .240, and had a nice 2.89 ERA.

Paul Derringer was 20-12 for the 1940 World Champions. This is a Rochester Red Wings minor league issue, an issue I'd like to see added to the Standard Catalog one day... about 8" x 10".
