I bought my first cards from his mother Audrey in 1979 when she sold cards out of her house. Later I often visited their store and got to know Audrey, Steve and Bruce. They were very nice people. She never used any grades but reserved the phrase "very pretty cards" for the top condition. I moved away from Chicago two years ago but came back to visit in August. I made a point of tracking the store down and visiting with Steve. I never knew he was sick. They were all very nice people and will be missed. God bless his family.

As a card collector also named Steve and with a daughter about Steve's daughter's age, this makes me sad to hear. I wish his family the strength to get through this. RIP, Steve.
