You can't really see anything but the back of Cardwell's head in this photo, but it's really a great shot of the massive throng of ecstatic Cubs fans celebrating the moment with vintage Wrigley Stadium in the background. Cardwell had just been traded from the Phillies to the Cubbies when he no-hit the St. Louis Cards in the second game of the twinbill played on May 15, 1960. It seems to me that the photographer did an unbelieveable job of capturing the moment. A great day in Cubs history!
