Well, I think I will stick to just graded cards from now on. I am new to vintage and have the "untrained eye," but would also hope that collectors and/or auction houses (in this case) would disclose any information about the card in an honest effort, no?
My T-213 Type 2 Cobb (the one I posted several pages ago) will not receive a numerical grade by PSA because it is altered. I am extrememly disappointed. Like I said, I am new to vintage and could not detect anything with my "untrained eyes." I'm also upset with myself. As a new collector with a limited budget, this may have to be coughed up as a costly mistake, as I doubt the auction "company" will be able to help. Perhaps this is why some new collectors get turned off to the vintage hobby. An altered T206 Wagner - sure, I'll take one! (if I had the money -lol) But not a T-213 Cobb. Todd
