Earlier in this thread (post #14), I alluded to the artistry in this set providing us tell-tale clues as to which series
these cards were printed in. " I find it interesting that the sunset & mountainous scenes of the Speaker and Wagner are very similar. Implying that the same artist designed both these cards; and therefore, they were printed on the same sheet. " If this is true then this Wagner and Speaker were printed in the last series, issued in the Summer of 1910. ![]() ![]() Furthermore, it does not make any sense to me that these cards were printed on 25-card sheets. It is obvious to me that they were printed on 30-card sheets, since there are 120 cards in the E90 set. Many of the Caramel sets were printed in Philadelphia, and we have seen a 30-card uncut sheet of the E93 cards. Regards ole friend, TED |
