Here are a couple of scorecards
This is one of Ruth's earliest barnstorming game. 1918 Ruth and a few other Red Sox players participated in this game which occured just a week after the 1918 world series. Ruth pitched in this exhibition game and is in the lineup batting fourth. I also have the newspaper clipping that was saved with the program that says before the game for the benefit of the Hartford troops in WWI two items were auctioned off - 1) Ball hit by Ruth for a triple in the world series and 2) Ty Cobb game used bat that a Hartford man acquired from Cobb. Where are those items now! ![]() 1927 Ruth/Gehrig Barnstorming Program. Has a few tiny snapshots pasted inside the program. One shows Ruth playing first base ![]() |
