There's a good news/bad news scenario with early pennants. Bad news is that most of the great/oversized ones are mired in advanced collections (and aren't going anywhere for some time). There's been a sharp drop-off in recent years, of quality pennants being available. Where there used to be a dozen or so available in every Lelands, Mastro or Hunts Catalog, now there might be 1 or 2. The good news is that when they do come available, prices are currently down (due to the crappy ecomomy). So it's an ideal time to pounce, if you see one you like that comes available. When you search ebay with the word "pennant" you'll see 98% crap (new mass produced stuff). So I always check off the search by "highest price first" criteria. I also used to do well searching by the word "penant". Lots of people mis-spell it, and some really good ones used to fall under the radar. Some people call them flags or banners as well, so it sometimes helps to search those words.

The baseball is more like two decades......and the Jim Bottomley bat my be the nicest one I have ever seen....not a mark on it..maybe a little dust..
