Fed Ex Express apparently treats office and home deliveries very differently. I have items sent to my office and have never had a problem--they always knock or leave a door tag, never drop and run. We have one driver and she does an excellent job (great legs too, which is a plus).
Fed Ex Ground sucks. I get stuff sent to me that way occasionally. The drivers knock and run. Sometimes I can see them out of the reception area window sprinting back to their double-parked trucks as I am going for the door. UPS is OK, again, for office deliveries. We have had one driver for years on the route and he is great. When I really want to make sure it gets there (domestic) I use the USPS registered mail system. For stuff where I would not be happy with an insurance payout. For run of the mill submissions to SGC I send it USPS priority. Very cheap/efficient for cheapo cards going in on $5 specials.
