Until about 7-8 years ago at the "old" Strongsville show (you know, the good one), I had never seen this Indians pennant, which you'll note has the same Wahoo as the pins on your display. A friend of mine had picked up one of the pins a year or two before I bought this pennant. Between the two of us, we had been collecting Indians memorabilia for a combined 50 or years at that time. It was the first time we'd seen that pin.
In the past five years I've seen the pin offered for sale on a semi-regular basis, though not enough to call it common. My educated guess is that a fairly large supply of "new-old" stock was found, and that could be where your display came from. I think Mark's assessment on value is in the right neighborhood. |
