Just uncovered these photos of Crosley Field, which my Dad took in 1969. A magical little Ballpark as I remember it at age 9. With the gigantic left field scoreboard and the incline terrace in the outfield (in place of a warning track) it had some really unique features. You can also see the press box, which sat high above the top deck!

These images brought back lots of memories. I traced one game to July 15, 1969, based on the scoreboard info (0-4 in the first inning, and Britton vs. Clay Carroll) I forgot Carroll was a starting pitcher back then (he later became a premier reliever in the 1970s Big Red Machine days).

There was apparently a second game against the Braves, as Johnny Bench is seen batting. Bench was hurt for the July 17 game, and was not playing (Pat Corrales played in his place, as evidenced on the scoreboard...)

Just wanted to share, as it was a real "score" to find these ektachrome slides after 40 years in storage!
