Those are great photos. Really. I'd rather have those than T206 HOFers.
Those photos don't derail this thread, they are a testament to what can result from a little love for T210s. With those photos, and with those associated T210s, you have to go to a library or historical society in Columbus, and get copies of the newspaper stories of coach Fox's Columbus Foxes of 1909 and 1910. There's one great book out there waiting to be written. The info can be collected, what would have been difficult would have been finding those images. And you have that!!! Baseball in Columbus, 1909 and 1910. I'm glad some folks got the Krebs reference. How often is that Krebs name encountered?? Not very... Now the really trick question is what was Maynard G. Krebs' middle name. A bit of help, it didn't start with a G.... (This will derail T210 discussion.) |
