Risberg and Gandil didn't have much left in the tank. But Felsch was going to be great. Look at Felsch's numbers in 1920. He was still just a kid, but he slugged 540 and had an OPS of 923. He, Jackson, Weaver, Collins and the solid pitching, with Red Faber in good shape, would be a great match. And don't forget the Sox's defensive skills would still mean something in the "live ball era." Mack said that Felsch was the best centerfielder he ever saw. Schalk, Collins, Weaver, et al were better fielders than the Yankees, and this would matter in a close series.
