Hi Barry,
You know how "slow" we Southern boys are....
Be well Brian

PS Zach's choice of GW had a lot to do with "Graduate" school opportunities in the future, so I got a little ahead of myself....

I know Brian, and I'm sure Zach will do graduate work. He's a scholar!

I also remember Mike Schwartz (Vendomecat) and used to converse w/ him quite often. In addition to cards he had a tremendous collection of old, rare and eclectic paper ephemera.

I lost contact w/ him about the time of the Hurricane and he seemed to abruptly disappear from EBay at that time.

He always said his restaurant business was doing well---My guess is the Hurricane devastated him and quite possibly his multimillion dollar collection but I don't know that for fact.

He was a prince of a guy to talk w/ & deal with and I certainly hope he escaped w/ his collection intact, but I have my doubts.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I really do appreciate it. I am indeed alive, well and still collecting - just not at the same pace I used to. It's probably some combination of family, career, apprehension in this economic climate, and eBay's declining appeal. I've never been a hyperactive poster and am probably even more of a lurker now, but do still regularly read the boards. I suppose I'll one day return to full-throttle collecting, but for now, less is more.
