Frank --seeing your post caught my eye because today on another site I posted this question----The August 13, 1910 edition of Sporting Life contains the following statement " Pitcher Schlitzer of Chattanooga, left the team in Birmingham last week and will be taken charge of by a famous local "negro arm doctor", who put pitcher Hub Perdue right". Does anyone know who this famous "arm doctor" was? The reference to Hub Perdue was timely.
