I was surprised by these 3 cards, won in an action in the 1980's thru SCD for $265.00.

About 13 years ago I won a lot of 26 E126 cards from Sports Collector's Digest auction by Coach's Corner. I had never seen the cards before and I was surprised they were bigger than other caramel cards.

So Coach's Corner used to sell legitimate cards? That's the biggest surprise of all.

I have been surprised a few times when buying an item from a seller in Ohio on ebay which turned out to be real upon receipt.

When you get them in person, some issues are higher quality than you expected and some are lesser. Considering the many cheapo Post WWII team issues and such, a pleasant surprise that comes to mind is 1967 Dexter Press. Nice, good looking premium.

The 1926 Sports Co. of America cards surprised me the first time I saw them. I alwas assumed they were E120/E121 sized cards, maybe just a little wider. But instead they are relatively tiny things, about the size of a Tattoo Orbit but narrower. Still very cool.
