Has the look & feel of a 1910 Orange Border (minus the orange border obviously), although I am pretty sure Magee is unknown in that set.

I think Rhett may well be correct. What we need are the exact dimensions of what you have there. If its dimensions are consistent with the inside of one of those Orange Border (or Green, there were a few in green, weren't there?) cards, then that is most likely what it is, even though Magee has yet to make it to the Standard Catalog's listing.

The Orange Border 1910s are 1 1/2 x 2 7/16ths.
So it seems that it would be a "no" Border from 1910, where someone trimmed off the orange or green border. Neat card!! |

Per another board members suggestion I contacted Dan McKee directly and he said without a doubt it was a 1910 Orange Border.
To go further Dan emailed a long time collector with what he said was the largest known collection of these cards and he wrote back confirming he had a Magee like the one I posted. I appreciate all the input from everyone. If anyone can help me with assessing this cards value, please PM me. |
