Hi Arthur, Nice pick-up. Here is a Sullivan card I purchased via auction from a used book dealer a while back. I noticed you classified the "Sunny South" as an N157. Both cards seem to me to be from the same series, N150 or N157? What other cards are included in the N157 set? |

The N157 set has various poses of African-American subjects. There are three cards of interest to boxing collectors: (1) the card Arthur illustrated here, (2) a card showing this kid and another one sparring, and (3) a card showing the two kids with a white fighter supervising them. Some collectors believe that the white fighter is Paddy Duffy, who is also in N174. They are also found with Old Fashion Fine Cut branding. |
