What's the toughest card from 1966-69 Kahns?

I collect them all(graded) and these are my observations

1966--most scarce overall but no known scarcities among individual cards--I am missing Deron Johnson and Pinson.

1967-certain small cards and red stripe variations are the toughest for me. Mazeroski, Whitfield, Torre and Boyer small and Kranepool and Matty alou red stripe.

1968-wow--lots of variations, lots of tough cards--for me 6 I am missing are all small-Alley, Torre, May, Cardenes, Alvis, Veale.

1969--Relatively the easiest--I am missing two--May and Maz red.

Good luck if you collect it--earlier Kahn's sets are also tough.

The price guides have listed a 1969 Kahn's Santo with red stripes for years, but I've never seen one or encountered any other collectors who have either. Jim, do you have one?

I agree with Jim about the '66s being the toughest of the yellow striped, full-sized cards. The '67 small variation cards are the most difficult of the small-sized cards (at least for me).

Although I collect all of the Kahn's years, I love the '66-'69 ones the most. The deep blue spring sky on the '66s is painfully beautiful (did anyone else notice that the sky was bluer when they were a kid?).

Bob,

The red-striped Santo is the only one I am "missing" in the set. I bought the set from a Mr. Mint auction 12 years ago advertised as "mint" and "complete".

I'd give up the hunt. I've been tempted to buy an extra yellow-striped one and color it in myself.
