When I first saw the image, I just figured the runner was heading back to first to avoid being picked off. I also figured the photo was staged, so I never questioned the runner's presence. Brian's photo and Frank's photo look like they were taken just minutes apart. It kind of reminds me of the classic Pee Wee Reese pose from the 1953 Bowman set. You can find variations of that photo taken from different angles. I presume everybody agrees it's Chase. Great find, Brian! |
