i see your grandfather was a miami businessman who purchased venetian way from the breeder (greathouse), tho i don't know what year or by what means (auction, claiming or private sale, etc.)...
is/was there such a place as sunny blue farms & was your grandfather an active horseman... did you know him?
is your family currently involved in the industry?
pretty cool to have a ky derby winner in your own personal bloodlines!
edited to add:
sorry to hear about your misfortune today... i know how disconcerting that feels.
it's one of the reasons i started "investing" more in babe ruth and less in para-mutual tickets!
