Hardie Henderson has ten poses, five originate from the 1887 photoshoot with Brooklyn, five a year later with Pittsburgh. All the 1887 Brooklyn photos were taken outside as were nearly all the California League cards. All others were studio photos. As already mentioned, many of the 1887 Brooklyn cards were re-issued in subsequent years, sometimes updated to track a players movement to another team. The book goes into more detail on why the 1887 Brooklyn cards (and re-issues of those cards) are a bit different from all others. |
